Most shower problems start behind the tile, where you can't see them. Here's when a shower is telling you it needs to be repaired or replaced. A shower remodel is often cheaper than another year of patching.
When grout cracks or tile loosens, water slips behind the wall. Left alone, it rots the framing and feeds mold long before you ever see a stain. Once grout fails, the shower walls behind it are usually next. Rebuilding them properly is the only real fix.

Non-porous acrylic and solid-surface walls install faster and have no grout lines to scrub or reseal. It's the value choice when you want a clean, durable shower without the upkeep of tile. Acrylic panels wipe down in minutes and suit a busy bathroom. The walls wipe clean because there is no grout in them.
We finish showers with frameless or semi-frameless glass and replace old, foggy, or leaking doors. A clean glass enclosure opens up the room and is far easier to keep spotless than a framed unit. A frameless shower enclosure makes a small bathroom read larger and opens the space up.

Both are good — it comes down to look, budget, and upkeep. Acrylic is non-porous, costs less, installs faster, and has no grout to maintain. Tile and marble give you a custom, higher-end look but take more labor and need occasional grout care. We bring samples of both so you can decide in person. Tiles need occasional care and acrylic walls do not, which suits a busy family bath.
Sometimes it's a simple regrout or reseal; often the leak is a failed waterproof layer or pan underneath, which a surface fix won't solve. We open it up, find the real source, and tell you straight whether a repair or a replacement is the smarter spend. Waterproofing behind the walls is the part that decides whether it lasts.
We remove the old base, rebuild the slope so water actually reaches the drain, install a new waterproof membrane and pan, then set your tile or acrylic on top. Done right, the pan is what keeps the shower from leaking again years down the road. A proper base is worth more than any design detail on top of it. Good design cannot rescue a bad pan.
