Is It Time?

Is a Walk-In Bathroom Right for You?

A safer bathroom is one of the smartest upgrades you can make. If any of these sound like you, it's worth a conversation.

You want to stay in your home as you age

A safer bathroom is the single biggest change that lets people age in place comfortably. It's worth planning before there's ever a problem.

Stepping over a tub wall or curb feels risky

If getting in and out has become a balancing act, a curbless or low-step entry removes the trickiest moment in the bathroom.

There's been a slip or a close call

The bathroom is where most home falls happen. Grab bars, a bench, and a no-step entry take the danger out of it.

You're caring for someone with limited mobility

A roll-in shower or a sit-in tub makes bathing safer and easier for a parent, a spouse, or anyone using a walker or wheelchair.

What We Install

Safe, Low-Step Bathing — Walk-In Showers & Walk-In Tubs

We build the option that fits how you move and how you like to bathe — here's what we install.

Curbless roll-in walk-in shower

Curbless & Roll-In Showers

A true zero-threshold shower you can walk or roll straight into. We recess and slope the floor for a linear drain so there's no lip to trip on — the most wheelchair-friendly option there is.

Low-threshold walk-in shower

Low-Threshold Walk-In Showers

A small, easy step-over instead of a high tub wall — often the simplest upgrade, and a natural fit if you're also doing a tub-to-shower conversion.

Walk-in tub with a low sealed door and built-in seat

Walk-In Tubs

A sit-in tub with a low, sealed door and a built-in seat, so you can bathe seated without climbing over anything. Great for a deep, warm soak, with heated and jetted options available.

Walk-in shower with grab bars and a built-in bench

Built-In Safety Features

Solid grab-bar blocking, a fold-down or built-in bench, a handheld sprayer, comfort-height fixtures, and slip-resistant floors — added while the wall is open, so they're there when you need them.

Why Choose Verano

Honest Advice on Aging in Place

Finished accessible bathroom remodel by Verano

Accessible bathing is the one part of remodeling where a wrong call costs more than money. Verano builds the entry, the blocking, and the waterproofing to do the job safely — and we install both walk-in showers and walk-in tubs, so our advice isn't steered by what we'd rather sell.

Here's the honest version: for most people a curbless walk-in shower is easier and safer than a walk-in tub — you don't sit and wait while it fills or drains, and it works with a wheelchair or a caregiver. A walk-in tub is the better pick if you truly love a deep soak. We'll help you choose, and it fits neatly into a full bathroom remodel if you're updating the whole room.

Everything is priced upfront, financing is available, and we're family-owned, licensed and insured. See recent local work on our Naples bathroom remodeling page.

Questions, Answered

Walk-In Shower & Walk-In Tub FAQ

Nationally a walk-in or curbless shower generally runs about $4,000 to $12,000, and a walk-in tub about $5,000 to $15,000 depending on size, jets, and heating. You get one fixed, written price at the consult.

For most people a curbless walk-in shower is easier, faster, and works with a wheelchair or caregiver. A walk-in tub wins if you love soaking. We install both and help you decide based on how you actually bathe.

The honest ones: you sit inside while it fills and again while it drains, so there's a wait that can feel cold, and a bath takes longer than a shower. For many people a curbless shower avoids that — but if you love a soak, a tub is worth it.

Usually not — Medicare and most insurance treat walk-in showers and tubs as home improvements rather than medical equipment, so they generally aren't covered. We keep it affordable with upfront pricing and financing.

Yes. We recess and slope the floor for a curbless roll-in shower with a linear drain, sized for a wheelchair or a shower chair and a caregiver.

Always — and we install solid blocking behind the walls for the grab bars while everything's open, so they're rock-solid and exactly where you need them.
